WHERE THE GRASS IS GREENER!!
Kilto Park is a Thoroughbred Agistment and Pre-Training farm of approximately 200 acres, located at Caboolture, an easy 40 minutes drive north of Brisbane airport, just off Bruce Highway.
The name “KILTO” means ‘Grassy Plains’ in original dialect. An outstanding feature of the farm are rolling green pastures that carpet the entire property. Centrally located on the farm are two large lakes that provide a permanent all year round water supply, and home to hundreds of species of birds, swans and ducks.
We receive an average of 52 inches (1300mm) of rain each year, so we are drought free, as well as frost free.
The farm is nestled beside a 5000 acre state forest, just perfect for long slow Pre-Training excise on the sandy loam trails. SPECIALIST, PROFESSIONALS TEAM The farm has the service of two specialist equine veterinary practices that visit the farm on a weekly, and as needed basis. We have a master farrier that visits the farm weekly to give attention to the hoof requirements of all the horses on the farm. Dentist An Equine Chiropractor, muscle manipulator is also a member of our specialist’s team and is on call as needed. Our basic feed ration is made specifically for Kilto Park and delivered fresh to our silos each week. High quality lucerne hay is supplied from the one farm for 7 years.
STAFF The farm runs under the expert management of John Mott, and his highly motivated team of 8 including his experienced wife Noreen
